February The Seventh

PRAYER? What is prayer? What are blessings?
If I send a paper boat out onto the lake am I any more likely to see it return than I am the blessing I ask for?
Prayer, plea, request, a set of words;
To hope for something as a result of an entreaty to a being we can't see.

I will send this thought out into the world
Of all minds thinking alike:
Bring us clarity of purpose.
