MY FATHER, grant me rest for body and soul, now the day is past. Forgive all that I have done amiss since the morning; the actual sin, the carless word, the false shame which prevented my checking wrong in others. Lord, Thou knowest the weakness of my heart. Teach me to know myself better. If it please Thee to raise me up again another day, let me, by Thy grace, devote my life more entirely to Thee, not shrinking from social duties, but in them glorifying Thy holy name. - Amen.
